Diabetes Doggie
Introducing Diabetes Doggie (aka D.D) making her first public appearance online! She is going to help me and the JDRF talk to kids, teachers, coaches, etc. everywhere about the signs and symptoms of type 1 diabetes. She will help me relate the 4 main symptoms of type 1 diabetes by explaining how the way a puppy behaves is very much how a child with type 1 diabetes behaves. She is very excited about her job and takes it very seriously and knows she will help make a very big difference all over the world in lots of schools, sports groups, and even businesses! Please ask her to come to your school or location and talk to you.
If you look at her ear, you will notice it says 4Tori. The 4 is for the 4 main signs and symptoms she helps to convey to people...and Tori? Well that is who she was created for! Tori is my Goddaughter. She is the little mommy of D.D. and I am her big mommy. Together we, along with JDRF, are very excited about the part D.D. will help play in finding a cure for Tori and for all the kids and grown-ups affected with type 1 diabetes. we have some BIG plans for D.D. so please stay tuned!
